Japanese Wagashi Kashigata Wooden Mold – Camellia Motif (#2)
A rare and authentic vintage kashigata (和菓子型) — a traditional Japanese wooden mold used to shape wagashi (Japanese confectionery). This piece features a camellia (tsubaki) motif, one of the most beloved seasonal flowers in Japanese culture, and appears to have been actually used at a wagashi-ya (Japanese sweets shop). A beautiful piece of Japanese culinary craft history, ideal for collectors, food historians, or as a decorative object.
This is a pre-owned vintage item. There are some stains, dust, scuffs, and scratches consistent with age and use, as shown in the photos. Please refer to all photos carefully for a detailed view of the condition before purchasing.
